| Mary E.Vassel Hill
was born in Norwalk, Connecticut. She obtained a BA in Family
and Community History and an MLS from Brigham Young University.
Mary joined the teaching staff of BYU as an instructor in Family
History and genealogical research in 1992. In 1995 she joined
the staff of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City as
a cataloger in Spanish and Portuguese. In 1998 Mary joined the
US/Canada reference staff, and is an instructor in various aspects
of genealogical research. She is an accredited genealogist in
Eastern and Southern states research, and is a sought after
speaker at genealogy fairs and conferences. The workshop she
developed on setting up a paper filing system in this day of
the computer has been particularly popular. |
